Chevy Chase MD real estate sales falling behind last years figures, despite November’s average home sale price increased.
Chevy Chase home sales decreased 17% compared to last year and decreased 38% compared to November 2010. Year to date home sales decreased compared to the same period in 2011 and 2010 (a decrease of 3% and 7% respectively).
The average home sale price during November increased 44% compared to last Nov, and increased 32% compared to Nov 2010.
November Chevy Chase homes listed increased year of year 83% and 50% (2011 and 2010 respectively); however year to date home listings continue to be at a decreased level compared to previous years (decreased 10% compared to same period in 2011, and 19% compared to same period in 2010).
Homes under contract continue to be elevated, as November figures increased 67% compared to last Nov, and increased 30% compared to Nov 2010. Year to date homes under contract increased 8% compared to the same period last year, but decreased 6% compared to the same period in 2010.
