Chevy Chase MD home sales have best February in three years!
The number of homes that sold in Chevy Chase during February increased 12% year over year and 25% compared to Feb 2011, and 32% compared to Feb 2010. Year to date home sales increase 17% compared to the same period last year, 24% compared to 2011, and 23% compared to 2010.
Although slightly higher than last year, the absorption rate of home in Chevy Chase MD during February 2013 was 35% (absorption rate during Feb 2012 and Feb 2011 was 33%, while the absorption rate for Feb 2010 was 44%)
The average home sale price for homes that sold during February in Chevy Chase MD increased 21% year over year, 12% compared to Feb 2011, but decreased (-3%) compared to Feb 2010.
Homes listed during February increased compared to recent years (+7% compared to Feb 2012, +20% compared to Feb 2011, and +45% compared to Feb 2010). Listings year to date through February also increased (+8% compared to 2012, +4% compared 2011, and +18% compared to 2010).
Homes under contract during February decreased 3% year over year, but increased 28% compared to Feb 2011, and + 53% compared to Feb 2010. Year to date through February, homes under contract are unchanged compared to the same period last year, but increased 25% compared to same period in 2011, and +35% compared to the same period in 2010.
